How to Make a Key for a 1995 Mercedes E320

Since 1926 Mercedes-Benz have been selling all over the world, making them one of the most well-known luxury brands of all time. When you purchase a Mercedes-Benz vehicle from any dealership you are given two car keys and a valet key, which is used strictly for parking and will not open your trunk and/or glove compartment. If you lose your keys or you decide youd like an additional key for your Mercedes, you must contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership.
Instructions
- 1
Contact your local Mercedes-Benz dealership. Your 1995 E320 comes with a keyless entry system that requires a special key manufactured by Mercedes-Benz USA to operate the vehicle.
2Provide Mercedes-Benz with the vehicle identification number, or VIN, and the year of your Mercedes E320. The VIN is located on all of your purchase paperwork, insurance cards and on the door panel of the drivers door. MB needs your VIN because it contains the key code for your specific vehicle, which lets them know exactly how to cut your new key to make it work with your MB.
3Pick up your new key from Mercedes. Before you pay for and leave with your key you must be able to prove you own the vehicle by providing proof of ownership. Photo identification along with your purchase paperwork, title, registration and/or insurance card are all acceptable.

How to Remove a Catalytic Converter on a 1995 GMC 1500
Removing the catalytic converter from your GMC 1500 series pickup for replacement or to facilitate other repairs is very simple. The converter is located in the downstream exhaust pipe just behind the exhaust manifolds. On models with dual exhaust, there are two converters, one in each exhaust pipe. Replacement converters are available at most auto parts stores and through the dealer if yours need replacing.
Instructions
- 1
Raise the front of your truck off the ground with a jack and support it by placing a set of jack stands under the frame rails. Lower the jack, setting the truck securely on the stands then remove the jack from under the truck.
2Slide under the truck and locate the catalytic converter in the exhaust system just down from the engine. One sits in each pipe, so you will need to complete the process twice if you are removing both converters.
3Remove the retaining bolts from the rear-mounting flange where the converter and exhaust pipe meet with a wrench. Lower the exhaust pipe away from the rear of the converter and lay it off to one side.
4Move to the front of the converter and remove the bolts from the front mounting flange with a wrench. Separate the converter from the front pipe and lower it out from under the truck.

My 1995 Dodge Avenger Stalls Wont Start

The 1995 Dodge Avenger is a mid sized four-door sedan. If your Avenger is stalling and then wont start, there are some things that you should look at before you spend money on an auto mechanic. The battery and the fuel levels are the most common causes of a car not starting. If these two issues are not what is wrong with your car, you will likely need to consult an auto repair shop to diagnose the problem.
Instructions
- 1
Pop the hood to your Dodge Avenger and look over the battery.
2Use a socket wrench to tighten the connections from the battery terminals and the connector cables going to your engine.
3Loosen the connections and then use soda and a wire brush to clean any corrosion off of the connector cables.
4Jump start the car and leave it running for five minutes. Turn the car off and then try to restart it. If the car does not restart, you will need to replace the battery.
5Check the fuel levels on the Avenger. Fill the car up with one gallon of gas and then try to restart the car. If the car restarts, have a mechanic repair your gas gauge.

How to Replace Fuel Pumps in a 1995 Buick LeSabre
The Buick LeSabre was a series of full-size cars that the Buick division of General Motors produced from 1959 to 2005. The 1995 Buick Lesabre was a 4-door sedan with a 6-cylinder 3.8-liter engine. This engine used sequential fuel injection to deliver high-pressure fuel to the fuel injectors. The fuel pump in the 1995 Buick LeSabre was in the fuel tank, requiring you to remove the fuel tank when replacing the fuel pump.
Instructions
- 1
Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery with a socket wrench to avoid starting the engine accidentally. Open the fuel filler cap to relieve the vapor pressure in the fuel tank. Remove the cap for the fuel pressure fitting on the fuel rail, and wrap a shop towel around the fuel pressure fitting. Attach fuel pressure valve J 34730-1A to the fuel pressure fitting, and place the bleed hose into container approved for gasoline. Open the valve to release the pressure in the fuel system, and fasten the fuel filler cap.

How Do I Read 1995 Ford F150 Check Engine Codes

The Ford F-150s made in 1995 have check engine lights that come on when the computer system in the truck senses trouble. Sensors send information to the power train control of the truck when the information does not match up to what the trucks known limits are. The trucks computer generates a code and displays the check engine light. Each code refers to a specific issue that can be pinpointed once you have retrieved the code from the trucks onboard diagnostic system.
Instructions
- 1
Remove the cover off the diagnostic port of the Ford, located under the dashboard on the left-hand side.
2Plug in the OBD scanner into the link of the diagnostic port. Code scanners can be found at your local auto-parts store. You can also ask a local auto-parts store if they can plug in a store-owned scanner for you to check the codes.
3Run the self-test with the code scanner. Read the manufacturers instructions to find out how your particular scanner runs the self-test.
4Write down the codes as the scanner reports them. There may be several codes--allow the scanner to run through the entire test.
5Move through the codes as they appear, but do not delete them.
6Remove the data cable and replace the cover over the port when complete.

How to Change the Fuel Pump in a 1995 Mercury Sable
The Mercury Sable was a mid-size upscale sedan manufactured by the Ford Motor Company from the 1986 to the 2005 model years. The Sable is very similar to the Ford Taurus, with only a few cosmetic differences distinguishing the two models. The 1995 Mercury Sable came with a base 6-cylinder 3.0L engine or an optional 6-cylinder 3.8L engine, each with electronic fuel injection and a high-pressure electric fuel pump. Changing a malfunctioning fuel pump in this vehicle is a fairly difficult task that requires some expertise and specialized tools.
Instructions
- 1
Disconnect the negative terminal of the Sables battery with a socket wrench. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system. Pump the fuel out of the fuel tank through the filler neck with adapter hose 034-00011 and rotunda fuel storage tanker 034-00002.
2Raise the vehicle on jack stands and remove the filler tube for the fuel tank. Support the fuel tank, and disconnect the support straps for the fuel tank. Disconnect the fuel lines, vent lines and electrical connectors from the fuel tank. Disconnect the fuel tank.
3Clean the area around the attaching fuel pumps attaching flange on the fuel tank with a shop rag. Turn the lock ring for the fuel pump counter-clockwise with fuel tank sender wrench D84P-9275-A, and remove the lock ring. Disconnect the fuel pump assembly from the fuel tank, and remove the gasket from the attaching flange on the fuel tank.
4Clean the mounting surfaces on the fuel tank. Apply a thin layer of grease to the new gasket, and place it into the fuel ring groove of the fuel tank. Place the fuel pump assembly into position without damaging the fuel filter. Replace the lock ring so that the locking tabs on the lock ring are under the tabs on the fuel tank. Turn the lock ring clockwise with fuel tank sender wrench D84P-9275-A until the lock ring reaches the limit of its travel.
5Install the fuel tank and connect the fuel lines, vent lines and electrical connection for the fuel tank. Lower the vehicle and install the filler tube. Add 10 gallons of fuel to the fuel tank, and check the fuel system for leaks. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
6Attach a fuel pressure gauge. Turn the ignition on for three seconds, and repeat this procedure at least five times to pressurize the fuel system to at least 30 pounds per square inch. Check the fuel system for leaks and disconnect the pressure gauge. Start the vehicle and check for leaks once again.

How do I Lower 1995 Harley 883 Sportster
You can lower your 1995 Harley 883 Sportster on either the front or the back end. Lowering the front requires you to disassemble your forks and install shorter fork springs. Most Sportster riders do not shorten the fork springs for various reasons, including compromised handling. Lowering the rear end of your motorcycle is a simple job that wont affect the safety of the bike. You can get that slammed-in-the-weeds look for your Sportster by replacing your stock, 13-1/2-inch shocks with shorter ones.
Instructions
- 1
Remove your right and left saddlebags. If you have throw-over saddlebags, remove the seat by unscrewing the Allen bolt that secures your seat to the rear fender. You will probably not have to remove your saddlebag supports. If you have bolt-on saddlebags, immobilize the nut inside your fender with a box wrench, then loosen the nut on the outside of the fender with a socket wrench.
2Raise the bike on a motorcycle jack until the rear wheel is completely off the ground. Make sure your motorcycle is stable.
3Remove the lower shock mounting bolt and the washer nut on one side of your Sportster. Set them aside for reuse. Remove the upper bolt, washer and cover and set aside for reuse. Remove the shock absorber. Repeat on the other side.
4Install the new shorter shocks, one side at a time. Put thread locker on the lower shock mounting bolt and reinstall. Reinstall the upper shock mounting bolt, using thread locker. Repeat for the opposite side.
5Lower the bike carefully and support on the jiffy stand. Reinstall the saddlebags and the seat.
