How to Install a Jeep Power Tech 2 4L Oil Pump
Chrysler has used the PowerTech brand for a variety of unrelated engines. One type of PowerTech engine is a four-cylinder 2.4-liter engine that appeared in the Jeep Liberty from 2002 to 2005. The oil pump on this vehicle circulates oil throughout the engine to provide lubrication for its moving parts. The Jeep PowerTech 2.4-liter engine has its oil pump on the crankshaft sprocket in front of the engine.

Remove the cable from the negative terminal of the battery with a socket wrench. Disconnect the rear cover of the timing belt and loosen the timing belt tensioner. Detach the timing belt.
2Disconnect the mounting bolts for the oil pan with a socket wrench. Remove the oil pan from the engine.
3Remove the crankshaft sprocket with Special Tool 6793 and Special Tool C-4685-C2. Disconnect the crankshaft key with a socket wrench and detach the oil pick-up tube from the oil pump. Remove the oil pump and the crankshaft seal from the crankshaft sprocket. Discard the crankshaft seal.
4Clean the mounting surfaces for the new oil pump with a shop rag and apply gasket sealer to the mounting surfaces. Install the O-ring into the discharge passage of the oil pump. Fill the oil pump with engine oil to prime it.
5Align the rotor flats of the oil pump with the crankshaft flats. Install the oil pump to the block with a new crankshaft seal. Connect the crankshaft key with a socket wrench. Install the crankshaft sprocket with Special Tool 6792 to set the sprocket to the original depth.
6Connect the oil pump pick-up tube to the oil pump. Mount the oil pan and fasten the mounting bolts with a socket wrench. Install the timing belt and connect the rear cover for the timing belt with a socket wrench.

DIY Power Mirror Repair for a Tahoe
The side power mirror on a Chevy Tahoe can get damaged in small and large accidents alike. The good news is that you do not need to simply live with a damaged side power mirror. Order a new power mirror from your local dealership or auto body shop. You may also need to order auto paint for the mirror that matches your Tahoe. The replacement mirror can then be installed in your Tahoe in just a few hours.
Instructions

Find the screws on the inside of the Tahoe door panel. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws from the door panel. Pop the door panel out of place and set aside.
2Remove the mirror trim with a door panel remover tool. Unscrew the three screws that are located beneath the mirror trim with a screwdriver. Place the screws somewhere safe.
3Disconnect the cables in the mirror and the door. The cables should come apart easily. Remove the mirror from the door.
4Slip the wiring for the Tahoe replacement mirror through the hole in the door. Screw the mirror into place with the screws from the old mirror. Connect the cable of the new mirror to the cable in the door. The cables should fit together nicely.
5Replace the door panel. Screw it into place with the panel screws and a screwdriver. Push the mirror trim cover panel back into place.

Master Power Air Tools

Explorer Third Row Power Seat Problems
The Explorer, a mid-size sports utility vehicle manufactured by the Ford Motor Company, has experienced a variety of issues related to its third-row seating. These problems vary from minor inconveniences to major issues that may pose safety concerns and necessitate the replacement of the entire seat.
Seat Wont Elevate
Most Ford Explorers are equipped with power seating. Power seating allows the user to adjust the seat to meet their individual preferences through the push of a button, permitting the user to raise, lower or move their seat forward or backward. When the seat will not elevate, a common culprit is a bad motor gear. Over time, the motor that is responsible for allowing the seat raise or move forward or backward may become worn, causing failure of the motor to operate properly. When this occurs, it is oftentimes necessary for the motor to be replaced in order for the seat to operate properly.
Heated Seats
The Ford Explorer also offered heated seats on both driver and passenger seats. While heated seats can be an added luxury, heated seats that fail to work properly can sometimes present a safety hazard. In order to operate the heat feature on the Ford Explorer, the user must push the heat activation button located on the instrument panel on the side of the seat. To turn the heat option off, the button should be pressed again. If the heat fails to shut off, this may indicate a wiring issue that is preventing the heat option from deactivating. Heated seats that fail to shut off on command can lead to serious burns and may need to be replaced in order to prevent harm.
Seats Wont Fold
Another common problem with Ford Explorer third row seating is seats that will not fold down into the floor in order to create a cargo area. When this occurs, a common culprit is head rests that are not folded down enough to allow the seat to collapse. Pulling the black tab forward under both headrests should allow the headrest to fold down completely. From there, try to fold the seats down as usual. If the seats fail to fold after ensuring that your headrests are fully folded, this may indicate a problem with the release, which will need to be inspected by a certified mechanic to determine whether or not the seat is repairable or will need to be replaced.

How to Wire a Power Seat in a 2000 Infiniti I30
The Infiniti I30 was Nissans first serious entry into the luxury-car market. Hoping to emulate Toyotas success with the Lexus brand, Nissan up-contented their basic cars into luxury offerings. The I30 was essentially a re-badged Nissan Maxima with an upgraded interior and a more supple ride. Power seats were standard and allowed driver and passenger to change the position of their seats with the press of a button. However the motors in these seats can burn out and a replacement seats need to be wired into place.

Drive the Infiniti I30 somewhere flat and with ample room to the drivers side. Car seats are bulkier than they look and having the flat ground helps keep the seat from sliding around on the rails. Put the Infiniti into "Park" and pull the emergency brake up before turning the car off. Pull the hood latch and go around to the front of the car. Open the trunk hood up and disconnect the black wire from the car battery.
2Turn the power button to off on the underside of the power seat. Push the seat forward and unbolt the two rear retaining bolts on each rail. Move the seat to the rear and unbolt each bolt on the front of the rails. Pull them up and off, but not out of the car. Disconnect the power wire from the bottom of the seat, then take the seat out. Pull the runner assembly off the rails and disconnect the power wire from the gear box.
3Pull the carpet flap off the bottom of the power seat and disconnect the wiring harness from each motor. Pull the carpet flap off of the new power seat and plug the wiring harness into the bottom of the seat. Slide the carpet flap back over so that only the single power port is left out at the rear.
4Slide the runners at the bottom of the seat onto the rails. Bolt in the retaining bolts at the rear and then at the front of the seat. Plug the power cord coming from the floor into the port coming from the wiring harness. Reconnect the black wire to the car battery, shut the hood and turn the car back on. Test the Infinitis power seat by moving it forward, back, and angle it forward and to the rear.
