How to Replace Lost Keys for a 2009 CBR 600RR
Not only can Honda cars and trucks be equipped with transponder key technologies, but so can motorcycles like the CBR 600RR. These keys, known as chip keys or ignition keys, can be programmed from the vehicle in just seconds and work exactly like the keys for your car. With this programming sequence, you will be done in just seconds and can replace up to three different keys to the system.

Turn the key in the ignition to the "On" position, press the Lock button on the keyless remote and cycle the key back "Off."
2Repeat the previous step three more times with your key, ending in the "On" position after the fourth time.
3Wait for the lock to automatically sound after the fourth cycle and press the Lock or Unlock button on your remote again.
4Turn the key back "Off" and remove the key to end the process.

How to Locate a Lost Smart Key for a Prius
Locating lost car keys is a matter of knowing where to look. The problem is, if you knew where to look your Prius keys, theyy wouldnt really be lost. Other than a thorough search and good luck there isnt another method you can use to search for your lost Prius car keys. If you cant find them youll have to replace them. Since your Prius key is a smart key, your Prius is a 2004 or newer model and your replacement keys are significantly more expensive than older model replacement keys.

Search for your missing car keys. Unfortunately, there are no remotes, signals or devices that can locate your missing Prius smart keys. Re-tracing your steps from the last time you had your key is a good search method. Check your pockets, handbags, between cushions on your furniture and anywhere else you might have gone while you had your keys. If you cannot locate them youll need to have replacements made.
2Call your local Toyota dealership to schedule an appointment to have your keys replaced and programmed to work with your late model Prius.
3Call a local towing company to have your Prius towed to your local Toyota dealership. Your new key cannot be made and programmed with your Prius internal computers without your car being present at the dealership.
4Pay for your new car keys. The cost for a smart key for a Prius is around $200.
