How to Locate the EGR Valve on a 2003 Dodge Intrepid

The EGR or exhaust gas recirculation valve is part of the 2003 Dodge Intrepid emissions system. The EGR valve helps to reduce the levels of nitrogen oxides (NOX) in the vehicles exhaust. As your 2003 Dodge Intrepid ages, carbon deposits will eventually begin to build up on the valve and in the passages inside the intake manifold that lead to it. These carbon deposits will eventually decrease the efficiency of the engine, and could lead to the check-engine light illuminating.

Instructions

Locate the air-filter housing and duct. It will be on the right side of the engine bay.

Locate the throttle body. It will be positioned between the air duct and the engine.

Locate the bracket directly underneath the throttle body.

Locate the EGR valve. It will be bolted to the engine just to the right of the bracket and beneath the throttle body.

How to Locate a Lost Smart Key for a Prius

Locating lost car keys is a matter of knowing where to look. The problem is, if you knew where to look your Prius keys, theyy wouldnt really be lost. Other than a thorough search and good luck there isnt another method you can use to search for your lost Prius car keys. If you cant find them youll have to replace them. Since your Prius key is a smart key, your Prius is a 2004 or newer model and your replacement keys are significantly more expensive than older model replacement keys.

Instructions

Search for your missing car keys. Unfortunately, there are no remotes, signals or devices that can locate your missing Prius smart keys. Re-tracing your steps from the last time you had your key is a good search method. Check your pockets, handbags, between cushions on your furniture and anywhere else you might have gone while you had your keys. If you cannot locate them youll need to have replacements made.

Call your local Toyota dealership to schedule an appointment to have your keys replaced and programmed to work with your late model Prius.

Call a local towing company to have your Prius towed to your local Toyota dealership. Your new key cannot be made and programmed with your Prius internal computers without your car being present at the dealership.

Pay for your new car keys. The cost for a smart key for a Prius is around $200.

When the ride on your Yamaha motorcycle is less than smooth, you may need to replace the shocks. The shocks on your bike absorb the impact as the bike moves over uneven roads. Several retail options are available where you can purchase the right shocks. Its best to shop for the best price.

Instructions

Purchase parts directly from the source, especially if you have a Yamaha warranty on your shocks. You can find a local Yamaha dealer on the Yamaha Dealer Locator. Tell them which shocks you need. If you arent sure, theyll be able to help you.

Go to a local motorcycle retailer, even if they dont specifically stock Yamahas. They should have access to the type of shocks you need and can help you find the correct part if you give them the model and year of your Yamaha.

Purchase parts online. There are hundreds of retailers who sell Yamaha parts over the Internet, including jcwhitney.com, bikebandit.com and motorcycle-superstore.com. If you have the product information for your shocks, you can find them on an online site and have them sent to you. You will have to pay shipping if you order your shocks online.
