How to Know if an A C Blower Is Bad
There are many reasons that a cars air conditioner can malfunction. The blower is a major part that commonly fails on a cars air conditioning unit. While its not always easy to tell if this is the problem, there are several tests a person can run to test the blower and see if that is the problem.

Turn on the cars air conditioner to full blast while the engine is running. Feel for any type of a breeze. If no breeze hits your hand, theres a good chance that the cars A/C blower is to blame. No wind at all means the A/C blower is not working at all.
2Hold your hand over the air conditioner vent while the air is on at full blast. After feeling the air, turn the vent down to half speed. If there is no change in fan speed, then this can mean that the A/C blower is the main problem.
3Turn off the engine and open the hood to look at the engine. Have the picture of your cars specific air conditioning system on hand.
4Check the connector to make sure its not loose. If the connector is loose, plug it in firmly and restart the car. Check the air conditioning vents to see if the same problems still exist.
5Check the plastic tube from the blower motor next. Look for tears, wear or even if the tube is disconnected. This is normally located on the lower left hand side of the motor, and must be in perfect working condition. Any damage to this part of the blower engine will prevent the cars A/C from fully working.

How to Troubleshoot a Coleman RV A C
Coleman Recreational Vehicles are used for camping and cross-country trips. If youre having problems with your Coleman RVs air conditioning, there are a few things you can do before you take it to a technician. If your RV requires a major repair, its best to take it to a repair shop. Minor problems can be fixed with little hassle. You dont have to be a mechanic to get your air conditioning working again.

Turn on the engine to your Coleman RV. Turn on the air conditioning from the control panel on the front console. Turn the temperature setting all the way down.
2Put your hand to the vent to see if air is coming through the system. If air is coming through hot, you have probably lost some refrigerant in the system. If there is no air coming through the vent, have a professional take a look at your unit.
3Pop the hood on your Coleman RC and look over the air conditioning compressor. The compressor is on the left side of the engine. Locate the compressor belt on the unit. Make sure the belt isnt damaged or worn. If the belt is worn or broken, replace it.
4Remove the low pressure side cap of the compressor. The low pressure side is the smaller of the two steel lines. The cap should be blue. Connect a pressure gauge to the low side.
5Check the gauge to make sure that your pressure level is within the Green band. If the pressure level is within the green, your AC unit is fully charged. If the air conditioner isnt working and youre in the green, the compressor is dead.
6Have the air conditioning unit serviced by a professional if the gauge isnt in the green. This means that your system is not fully charged. Have a technician charge your system.

How to Fix a Windshield Washer Pump on a 1997 Chevy C 1500 Truck
When the windshield washer pumps fail on a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the windshield washer system cannot transfer fluid through the system tubing in order to clean the windshield. These pumps, located in the windshield washer tank, are the sole components responsible for moving fluid throughout the entire system. These pumps operate by running off the vehicles 12 volt electrical power supply. When the wash section of the windshield wiper arm is depressed, the wiper motor relay switches to a closed position allowing current to flow to the washer pumps. In the event of a pump failure, current still flows to the pump, but they will not operate.

Removal

Remove the bolts holding the washer tank area cover to the truck with a metric ratchet and socket. Remove the two bolts holding the washer tank to the truck body with a metric socket and ratchet.
2Unplug the upper pump hose from the vehicle. Disconnect the electrical connector from the truck to the pump assembly. Lift the washer tank out of the truck. Pour the washer fluid from the tank into a drain pan.
3Pry the washer pump cover away from the washer tank with a flat-head screwdriver, and then set it aside. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the washer pumps. Disconnect the washer pump hose from the individual washer pumps.
4Twist and pull on each washer pump to remove it from its mounting grommet.
Installation

Set the new washer pumps into position and press down on them until they are completely seated in the rubber grommet holes. Reconnect their electrical connectors. Reconnect the wash pump hose to each pump.
6Snap the pump cover onto the washer tank. Set the tank back into the truck and reinstall the bolts holding the tank to the truck. Torque the bolts to 53 inch-pounds with a torque wrench. Reconnect the upper pump hose to the hose running to the washer jets.
7Refill the washer tank with new fluid and close the cover. Set the washer tank area cover into place and reinstall the bolts holding it in place with a metric socket and ratchet. Test the washer pumps.
